We have done a Story Telling about Pretty Ritty. Pretty Ritty is a little mouse who founds a gold coin and she decides too buy a very nice laice. Now all of the animals wants to marry her!
We prepared this activity to five-year-old children. We done an activity before telling the story and two more to do after telling the story.
In that story children can
learn: a lot of animals (name, sound and
the order of the questions). The storytelling is a good idea to work listening
in class. Furthermore, we want to show traditional stories to our pupils.
People of all ages love
stories. Children are great fans of stories and love to listen to them.
Storytelling literally means reading out stories to them or just telling a
story from the memory to them. It is becoming a lost art today as many parents
find very little time to spend with kids as the hustle and bustle of life demands
them to reserve more time for the needs of life.

Gymkhana:
We are going to
start the story of "Pretty Ritty" with some activities to detect
previous knowledge that our students have about it. To motivate them, create a
series of mysteries and situations, to through a series of clues. Clues are in
the centre in different areas and some have them taken to find others.
We’ll give a clue
to the children. The clues are going to be this:
Each group will go
to looking for his object with the clues, then they’ll came to the class and
give it to the teacher. The groups should try to be faster than the others.
When they have found, they will explain where and what have they found to their
classmates. With this activity and with the objects, children will guess what
story is going to tell the teacher.
In the Gymkhana,
we are going to use this representative objects:
a)
Golden coin: Pretty Ritty founds a
golden coin in the floor.
b)
Broom: Pretty Ritty is cleaning
around her house, when all of the suitors go to visit her.
c) Pink lace: When Pretty Ritty founds
a golden coin, she goes to buy a pretty pink lace.
d)
Little mouse: She is Pretty Ritty,
she is the main character of the story.
