Having a rich vocabulary will help a lot the student to express their ideas and understand the communicative context. Therefore it is important to start as soon as using these words become friends and become part of everyday student expression. One of the best ways to learn is implementing new concepts.

MOODS AND EMOTIONS

Moods and emotions are a very important part of children education. In the school, teachers have to help them to work that. A very good activity is create a face with all of their parts. This face could be used in the routines. We can ask children how are they and they can answer us with the face, moving the mouth, the eyes, the eyebrows, etc.

Matthew's Dream

Matthew's Dream is Leo Lionni's widely praised fable about how art can change the way we see the world. Matthew's parents hope he will become a doctor, but a trip to the museum inspires the young mouse to pursue his dream of becoming an artist.

ENGLISH RESOURCES

An important part of learning english could be writing! But some teachers only do exercices from the book to teach english to her pupils, and this is a very bad methodology.

A perfect methodology to teach english to our children is mix a lot of things like listening, writing, songs, films, books, speaking, crafts, etc.

So to improve the part of writing, I have seen a very good page, where there are printables about grammar, vocabulary and more.

There's a lot of pictures, games or grammar exercices for children.

WORKING WITH TICS

We have done a project about how to work Tics with reading.

We have prepared an interesting activity using the computer. Nowadays children know perfectly how to use it.

Our English Literature teacher tell us about some webs to do interesting things with children. One very good is "GLOSGSTER". CLICK HERE TO LOG IN GLOGSTER

We have based with Three musketeers story by Alexandre Dumas. “The Three musketeers” is an interesting book for children about 6th level of primary school. We have chosen this story because we think that is appropriate for twelve-year-old children and it is a historic novel which pupils can learn new vocabulary. 

To work this reading at the class we will read loudly together. When pupils finished each chapter, they will translate and comment it with their partners. Next day, children will do an oral summary before they start to read more pages of the story.

When the book will have finished, pupils do an activity with Glogster, an application to do murals in groups. Finally, they will expose it to the class. They will have to create the poster with sentences from the book, pictures, songs, characters, the title of the story, etc.

COOKING WITH CHILDREN

Cooking could be very funny and interesting to children. Eat something that they have cooked  by himself is very greatfull. We can teach them things about the kitchen or vocabulary. So we propose you a very good recipe about nutella:

Children love songs, so for this specially dates of Christmas we are going to sing with them.

A very nice song is Rudolph (The red-nose reindeer)!

LEARNING WITH TICS

Noowadays children know perfectly how to use tablets, computers and mobile phones too! So, a great methodology to learning english could be TICS.

I have discovered  a great page to play english games. At home, children can pllay this games to improve their english. It could be very funny and interesting to them.

MY FAVOURITE BOOK WHEN I WAS A CHILD

When I was little, my father every night read me a book. I had a collection of short stories in my bedroom. Every night my father chose one. He always chose the same to get angry at me. He always wanted to read me The Spring but the collection had many books as The birthday, The autumn, The summer, The pets, etc.
